Pilgrim Supper

Come share a Pilgrim Supper

The Pilgrim Supper is a monthly gathering where supporters and those interested in the work of the Via Beata can come together to share a simple meal, scripture, and song. Most importantly, these suppers offer pilgrims walking the trail a chance to rest, connect with others, and be touched by the words of scripture.

What is a Pilgrim Supper?

The supper follows a monastic-style tradition and takes place on the same day each month. People come together, each bringing a stew, bread, or cheese to share. The evening begins with a simple, repetitive worship song or two, followed by a relaxed time of fellowship while everyone enjoys the meal together.

Once the meal is finished, there is a period of silence as a passage of scripture is read. This is followed by 10–15 minutes of quiet meditation and reflection. Afterwards, participants are invited to share their thoughts and responses.

The evening concludes with updates from the Via Beata and an opportunity for prayer..

How can I be involved?

Each supper is open to all.

We envision Pilgrim Suppers taking place along the entire length of the Via Beata trail, offering regular opportunities for pilgrims to join in fellowship. To create consistency, we recommend holding suppers on the same day each month at the same time in the evening. A start time of 5:30 pm works well for walkers, allowing them to join comfortably after their journey.

If you would like to start a regular Pilgrim Supper, please get in touch—we can help connect you with others in your area.
