The photo shows men, women and children from Bluntisham hard at work painting figures for the sculpture that will form the Way Station in St Mary’s church, Bluntisham. It illustrates the scripture from Luke 13 saying that people will come from the East and the West and north and south and will take their places at the feast in the Kingdom of God. It was chosen because the village is on the Greenwich Meridian. The workshop ran from Saturday to Sunday and was a follow-up session to a previous one when Steve Eggleton taught wood carving skills so that everyone was able to help carve the figures that will adorn the sculpture.
